The ASJA conference is coming! The conference will be virtual again in 2027, and then return to New York City in 2028 when ASJA will celebrate its 80th anniversary in the city where the organization got its start.

The 2027 event will also feature a keynote speaker; Client Connections 2027, ASJA’s signature client networking event; opportunities for networking and coaching; scholarships; social events; and the announcement of the winners of the 2027 ASJA Awards for articles and content writing.
Education sessions will take place:
- Monday, April 26, 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Eastern time
- Wednesday, April 28 and Friday, April 30, 12 to 6:30 p.m. ET
Client Connections 2027 one-on-one meetings between ASJA professional member and potential clients–including editors, content marketing manager, agents, and publishers–will take place:
- Tuesday, April 27, and Thursday, April 29, from 12 to 3 p.m. ET.
Suggestions for 2027 ASJA Conference Session Proposals
Got an idea for a conference session? The conference planning committee is actively soliciting proposals for sessions. They are especially interested in topics that haven’t been presented before or speakers who haven’t appeared in the past. We’re also interested in sessions that take advantage of the interactive nature of a virtual conference; if the session you’re proposing has polls, breakout sessions or other interactive elements, please describe them in your session proposal. For inspiration, see the 2026 ASJA conference session line up here.
As always, ASJA is committed to supporting diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion in speakers and session topics. To be considered, use this form. All proposals are due by Sept. 30. Submit session proposals here.
Details about the 2028 conference in New York City will be shared in coming months.
Interested in volunteering on the conference planning committee or helping at the event? Go to the Volunteer Opportunities page of the website, fill out the form at the bottom with your name and email address and check “Annual Conference Committee,” and a conference co-chair will contact you.
