Each year, members of the American Society of Journalists and Authors (ASJA) churn out hundreds of thousands — perhaps millions — of words. While some of ASJA members’ writing exists only in the fleeting digital world, other works are books that will stand the test of time.

To close out the year, we’ve attempted to round up all the new books by ASJA members that have been published since Jan 1., 2025. We found close to 20, including travel guides, books on history and business, novels, short stories, and more.

Since this is the first time (that we know of) we’ve compiled such a list, we realize we may have missed some members’ books. If you wrote a book that should be on the list, please contact the office to be added, asjaoffice@asja.org.

If you’re an ASJA member and have written a book that will be out in 2026, please remember to share when it’s published by filling out the member news form on the ASJA website. We’ll include your news in the ASJA Weekly newsletter, which is what we used to create this year’s list.
