VCC requests only one-hour of your time. Below, please choose your first, second and third choices for the day/hour you can participate. If you’d like to offer a second hour (thank you!), please note this in the final box under “Additional info,” below.
First choice(Required)
Second choice(Required)
Third choice(Required)
Please be as specific as possible. For example, “$1.50/word” or “Flat fee: $1,000 for 800- to 1,200- word piece.” If you are a literary agency, please write N/A.
Examples:
  • Media outlets/Content agencies: “We’re looking for pitches for 600-1,000 word articles with a two-week turnaround on assignments.”
  • Literary agents: “We represent adult non-fiction titles on a wide-range of subjects including health, history, parenting, music, how-to, popular science, business and biography.”
If your outlet or agency is looking for writers with a specific expertise, please include that here. Example: “We are looking for writers who can cover topics including human origins, archaeology, psychology, health, and animals. We are always seeking pitches about current events with a science angle.”
Please note here if you would like writers to pitch story ideas during your meetings. If your outlet has an editorial calendar, has a “how-to-pitch” link, or is looking for ideas for specific sections, please add that information here, too. If you would rather use your meeting time to get to know writers to see if their expertise meets with your needs for future assignments, please make a note of that here, as well.
Please add any additional helpful information:
Examples:
  • “Our outlet is a science publication. We cover how science relates to everyday life.”
  • “Please look online or at print issues at your newsstand to find out more about our content and voice.”
  • “We expect articles to include at least two to three sources. Writers are responsible for ensuring accuracy of their work.”

If you are able to join us for an additional hour, please note that below, including the day and time (starting at the top of the hour, only).
