I’m a freelancer writer with 15+ years experience producing content for clients and publications across diverse industries.

These days, I focus on long-form content for legal services, marine and maritime brands, technology companies, and trade publications. White papers, feature articles, detailed guides, executive bylines, deep-dive profiles. The kind of copy that requires a writer to understand complex industries, then transform that data into easily consumable content that inspires, educates, and moves readers to action.

I followed a very non-traditional route to get here. I practiced law for ten years before a sabbatical turned permanent, landing me on a tiny island in the Caribbean. Writing was how I made it work financially. Along the way I realized something. Writing is what I love to do. Cliché, I know. But it’s true. Writing has helped me carve my own path for the past 15 years.

I’ve lived in several countries during that time, improving my craft along the way. Editor-in-chief of a digital magazine in London. Commissioned pieces for respected publications like IEEE Spectrum. Nearly a decade of monthly thought leadership articles for a CEO in the marine industry. Content manager at a SaaS cybersecurity education company. Co-founder (and CMO) of a successful boat charter business in Bonaire.

Most of those years, I lived far away from Apple stores, help desks, and tech resources. Not having those resources close by (and, if I’m honest, living on a lean budget in those early days) teaches you to figure things out yourself. I became my own tech support expert — building websites, setting up home networks, and solving every computer and iPhone problem that came my way. That self-reliance turned out to be useful preparation for writing about tech. I can go down the rabbit hole with the best of them. I had to for more than a decade.

My clients and I build long-term relationships. I believe it is because I take my work seriously and make things easy for them. I come prepared, I hit deadlines, and I do not need my hand held. Ever. One client recently called me “an absolute pleasure to collaborate with.”
