Katy Koontz is an award-winning freelance writer and editor whose focus includes spirituality, travel, and health (including complementary and mind/body medicine). She is the editor-in-chief of Unity Magazine, where she interviews New Thought leaders for her regular Q&A cover feature, “Listening in With….” Katy was named to the 2019 Folio: 100 for her work with the magazine, while her writing has been recognized several times in the Folio: Eddie awards. As a freelance editor, book doctor, and ghostwriter, Katy has worked on books for several New York Times best-selling authors. Her own books include a travel book called Family Fun in the Smokies and a children’s picture book, The Banana Police. She also writes a regular blog on exploring the Smokies for the Great Smoky Mountain Association.
