Katie Weisman

I am a veteran fashion, luxury goods and lifestyle editor and writer and I started my career as a fact-checker at Forbes Magazine where I mastered the importance of accurate reporting and writing. It was at Forbes where my interest in the business side of fashion and luxury emerged. After Forbes, I crossed the Atlantic and spent 8 years as an editor at WWD/W Magazine in Paris where I covered everything from fads to finance: I was responsible for reporting on fashion trends, fragrance and beauty launches, M & A, retail, marketing, annual meetings of publicly traded fashion, beauty and retail companies, and more. Next stop was working at a fashion house instead of just writing about them which translated to two years at Givenchy Couture as international director of public relations. Despite the magic of seeing Haute Couture live and in person, however, I found that I preferred writing about companies and became a freelance writer.

My work has been published in women’s glossies, notably international editions of Vogue, and specifically Vogue Japan. I also wrote for Town & Country, Condé Nast Traveler, Style.com (predecssor to Vogue.com), The Boston Globe, The Washington Post. I am a writer-at-large for www.coveyclub.com, a website for women 40+ founded by Lesley Jane Seymour, the former Editor-in-Chief of More Magazine, Marie Claire etc.

In addition to editorial writing, I am a content creator and top editor for brands and companies. My clients have included top American and European fashion and luxury brands. I also do translation/re-writes for French companies. I absolutely love helping companies and executives say what they want to say.
