Carol Weston

I’m an advice columnist and novelist who lives in Armonk, New York, and the Upper West Side. I’ve written 16 books including four Knopf novels for kids, a YA novel, Speed of Life, that the New York Times called “perceptive, funny, and moving,” and a memoir, From Here to Maternity.

I’m a graduate of School Year Abroad, Yale (Phi Beta Kappa), and Middlebury. I’ve been a guest on The View, Today, Oprah, and CNN Español — in Spanish.  I ski way better than you would imagine. I love visiting schools and inspiring kids and teaching writing to adults.

Speed of Life

A novel that came straight from the heart and took ten years to write. It’s about a girl, Sofia, 14, who bares her soul to an advice columnist — and doesn’t realize that the advice columnist is dating her recently widowed father.
