What Has Changed?
All members’ login credentials used before July 30, 2026 will no longer work. You will need to create a new login if you haven’t done so already. The new login will give you access to the Member Center (member portal), ASJA Community, and any member-only pages on the ASJA website.
The Member Directory and Find a Writer (FAW) tool on the ASJA website are currently being implemented with the new platform. During this time, information you enter on your member profile will not be synced to the website’s directory or FAW. It is important that you update your profile information now, in preparation for when the implementation is completed. In the meantime, an Active Member Directory is available in the Member Center.
How Do I Get Started?
Step 1: Create a New Login
All current members have been sent an email from ASJA with the subject line: Create Your Login and Access the ASJA Member Center, containing the link to create your login. If you are a current member and cannot locate the email, please contact ASJA staff at asjaoffice@asja.org. We also send these emails twice a week to any members who have not yet created their new login.
To create your login:
- Click the “Create your login here” link within the Create Your Login and Access the ASJA Member Center email
- For the system to verify you are an existing member, enter your first and last name, and email address associated with your existing ASJA account (this email address will be your username for your new login). Click “Submit”.
- If the system recognizes you as an existing member, you will receive an account activation email from GrowthZone Info “info@growthzoneapp.com” containing a link to set your new password. To ensure delivery, add this email address to your approved/safe senders list.
- If you see a “We could not find the requested user” message after clicking “Submit”, contact the ASJA office for assistance.
Step 2: Log in at ASJA.org to access the Member Center
- Once your new login is created, visit the ASJA homepage and click the Member Login button in the upper-right corner. After you’ve successfully logged in, the Member Login button will be replaced with a Portal button (showing that you are logged in).
- Click the Portal button to access the Member Center. If it is your first time accessing the Member Center, you will be required to accept the ASJA Code of Conduct.
- Review the information on the Member Center homepage for additional tips on using the new platform.
Step 3: Explore Your Member Dashboard
The ASJA Member Center is designed to make managing your membership easier and more convenient. The Center serves as your personal ASJA hub, where you can:
- Update your profile
- Access member-only resources and the ASJA Community
- View your membership information
- Register for ASJA events and webinars
- Manage invoices and create a payment profile
Please note: some historical information may not appear exactly as it did in the previous system.
Step 4: Review and Update Your Profile
A complete profile improves your visibility within the ASJA member community and makes it easier for potential collaborators, editors, and clients to find you.
- Upload your headshot by clicking the headshot icon, located under the ASJA logo in the upper-left corner of the Member Center dashboard.
- Access your profile information under My Info in the left-hand menu of the Member Center. Please note that some of your profile information transferred from the old platform will need to be updated or moved to a new field.
- Profile information is grouped into different sections. Click the pencil icon at the top of each section to edit each field. Don’t forget to review your Writer Type(s) at the bottom of the page, and update as needed.
- Under the Find a Writer section, follow the instructions on copying/pasting information into new fields. Looking for your selected works that were featured on the ASJA website’s Member Directory and Find A Writer? Those fields are currently hidden from view and will become available to edit/update in the coming weeks. Please note that you will need to upload any images for each of your selected works once those fields are available.
Step 5: Explore the Active Member Directory
The Member Directory is one of the most valuable benefits of your ASJA membership.
While the ASJA website’s Member Directory and Find a Writer are being implemented with the new platform, take a few minutes to explore the Active Member Directory in the Member Center.
Use the directory to:
- Search for members by name
- Find writers with specific expertise
- Connect with potential collaborators
- Expand your professional network
Step 6: Register for Events
All ASJA event registrations will be managed through the new Member Center.
From the dashboard, you can:
- Browse upcoming events
- Register online
- Manage your registrations
- Access event details
- View confirmation information
This streamlined process makes participating in ASJA programs easier than ever.
Step 7: Access the ASJA Community
The ASJA Community is a brand-new feature that offers a dedicated place to engage with fellow ASJA members. To access, click the “Community” button in the left-hand menu of the Member Center.
Through the ASJA Community, you can:
- Stay informed about ASJA activities
- Join member communities (regional and interest groups)
- Participate in discussions and post in the social feed
- Create your own Community profile
- Connect with peers through the Community Directory
The more actively you participate, the more value you’ll gain from your membership.
