ASJA and Gotham Ghostwriters are pleased to announce that submissions for the 2027 Andy Awards for outstanding nonfiction book collaborations are now open.
“The Andy Awards were created to bring collaboration out of the shadows and into a well-deserved spotlight,” said ASJA President Darcy Lewis and Gotham President Alison Schwartz in a joint statement. “Collaborative projects are flourishing in today’s publishing marketplace and reflect the growing recognition that first-rate nonfiction is very often created in partnership with a professional writer.”
Four 2027 Andy Awards Categories
In 2027, the awards once again will be presented in four categories:
- Business and thought leadership
- Memoir
- Narrative nonfiction
- Prescriptive nonfiction
To be eligible, books must be published between Jan. 1, 2025, and June 30, 2026. Both author and paid collaborator (ghostwriter) must agree to jointly submit a work for consideration and agree to share the award.
