After cutting my teeth at my college newspaper, I jumped into the world of B2B magazines. I spent six years as an editor for BUILDINGS magazine, a trade publication covering all facets of commercial building management. From column and feature writing to proofing layouts, I fell in love with techincal journalism. Special duties like leading two award programs, coordinating the monthly products section, and overseeing several e-newsletters shaped my project management.
I went solo in 2016 and never looked back. While remaining a contributing writer to BUILDINGS and its sister publication interiors+sources, I’ve expanded into other forms of engineering such as public infrastructure and technology.
The bedrock of my journalism and content marketing is rooted in my 18 years as a college instructor. I am an educator through and through, and my writing is driven by a strong desire to teach readers about complex topics.
