Emily P.G. Erickson is a freelance health and science writer and editor specializing in mental health. She has written for The New York TimesWiredParents, the American Psychological Association, and more. She holds a master’s degree in counseling psychology and previously researched PTSD treatments at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, co-authoring studies in peer-reviewed journals. With over two decades of following psychology, she brings a therapist’s compassion and a scientist’s rigor to every story she tells. Emily lives in Minnesota with her husband and their three children.

Sarika Chawla is a content strategist and content marketer based in New York. She is a full time content strategist at MMGY Global, the world’s leading integrated marketing agency specializing in travel and tourism.
