A proud sponsor of the Banned Books Week Coalition, ASJA is the nation’s premier organization of professional independent nonfiction writers, and we advocate for First Amendment and freelance rights. This year, we’re inviting Banned Books Week Coalition members and the public to participate in a panel discussion about book banning. Five panelists will explore the emerging backlash against government censorship. Their stories may inspire useful community action. Freelance writers can gain insights for reporting beyond the culture-war headlines.
