Marcia Z. Nelson was named religion book reviews editor at Publishers Weekly. Nelson has written for the publishing industry's bible since 1999.

Joanna L. Krotz was named contributing editor to Town & Country. A longtime contributor in the arena of women's philanthropy and wealth management, Krotz has also completed a book to be published in June by Hearst Books: Town & Country A Guide to Intelligent Giving: How You Can Make a Difference in the World (and in Your Own Life).

Bob Wilson's Vermont Curiosities was published in October by Globe Pequot Press. Of his 12 books (several of which remain in print), this is the most curious. U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders wrote the Foreword.

Anne Hosansky has been asked to repeat her popular Memoir Writing Workshop at the Great Neck Library on November 24. Hosansky's own memoir, Widow's Walk, published by Donald Fine in 1994, is still selling via iUniverse.

Judith Wylie was the destination lecturer on the Royal Caribbean Line's Serenade of the Seas cruise to Alaska in mid-September, speaking on the history and culture of the ports. She also will be the lecturer on Princess Cruise Line's Sapphire Princess on a Mexican Riviera cruise in November.

Marie Proeller Hueston's new book, Country Living Perfect Patterns, is out this month from Hearst Books.

After 22 years in Brazil, Bill Hinchberger is moving to Marseille, France, where he will become the director of external relations and communications for the World Water Council. His first challenge will be to prepare for the World Water Forum in Istanbul, Turkey, in March 2009.

TypePad, a major blogging service, in September spotlighted Hal Morris' Grumpy Editor as a top-featured blog. The long-time ASJA member has had experience in each media facet. GrumpyEditor.com is found in TypePad's media and news category.

Irene S. Levine, Ph.D. and her husband, psychiatrist Jerome Levine, M.D., co-authored Schizophrenia for Dummies (Wiley, November 2008). Both are professors of psychiatry at the New York University School of Medicine.

Mary Beth Klatt is teaching an Introduction to Fashion Business class at Columbia College in Chicago.

Cheryl Harris Sharman just published Nightshift NYC (University of California Press). With co-author and husband Russell Leigh Sharman, she spent a year on the nightshift interviewing and shadowing over 100 workers who work nights in the city that never sleeps.

High IQ Kids: Collected Insights, Information, and Personal Stories by the Experts, co-edited and with contributions by Deborah Robson and Judy Fort Brenneman, has won the 2008 Legacy Book™ Award in the Parent/Family category. The Legacy Book Awards honor outstanding literature related to gifted children and their education.

Carol Jose announces You Are Not Forgotten: A Family's Quest for Truth and the Founding of the National League of Families (Vandamere Press). This tribute to POW/MIA families, "a key segment of Vietnam War history," reveals "profiles in courage" by remarkable American women and men. Foreword by Henry Kissinger.

Stephen Regenold of Minneapolis has been contracted by Outside magazine to write a weekly column, "The Gear Junkie Scoop," for the magazine's Web site. The column, which covers prototype and to-be-released products from the outdoors and fitness industries, will also run weekly on Regenold's web site, www.GearJunkie.com.

Jennifer Margulis has written the November cover story, "Looking Up," about the last herd of wild giraffes in West Africa, for Smithsonian Magazine. Editor In Chief Carey Winfrey also includes a brief profile of her in his editor's notes.

Author, journalist and copywriter Rodney J. Moore is an editorial contributor to Dynamic Graphics + Create magazine. Moore also is a part-time certified personal trainer who is on his way to becoming a certified triathlete coach.
