Titled "Reaffirming Human Rights: The Universal Declaration at 60," this conference is the first in history to be held away from UN headquarters in New York City. Paris is the city where the Universal Declaration of Human Rights first was signed in 1948. More than 1,500 international NGO representatives are expected to attend this annual meeting on the eve of the General Assembly opening. |
