Carol Krucoff, who served as founding editor of the Health Section of The Washington Post, has joined Duke Integrative Medicine as a Yoga Therapist, where she creates individualized yoga practices for people with health challenges A contributing editor for Yoga Journal, Carol is a registered yoga teacher, certified personal trainer and co-author, with her husband Mitchell Krucoff, MD, of Healing Moves: How to Cure, Relieve and Pre-vent Common Ailments with Exercise


This month, Michael Luongo will do an Iraq photo lecture in New York's Harvard Club that will be based on his month-long travels through Iraq this past July and August, where he visited Kurdistan and also Baghdad. He will also discuss his book, Gay Travels in the Muslim World (Haworth Press, 2007)
Kelly L. Stone's book Time to Write: More Than 100 Professional Writers Reveal How to Fit Writing Into Your Busy Life (Adams Media, Jan. 2008) is now in stores. The book provides extensive time management strategies for busy writers and is based on interviews with 104 professional writers, including more than 40 New York Times and USA Today bestsellers and many ASJA members; the foreword is by Kelly James-Enger
Claire Walter wrote nine chapters (Aspen/Snowmass, Keystone, Breckenridge, Crested Butte, Copper Mountain, Steamboat, Taos, Alyeska and Panorama) of the Ski Atlas of the World, a large-format, full-color book just released by New Holland Publishers (UK) Ltd. Hilary Nangle wrote chapters about Maine ski areas
Eugene L. Meyer has received the Gold Award for best column from the International Regional Magazine Association. The award was for Meyer's "Hidden Maryland" column in Maryland Life Magazine. Judge Hilary Davidson called Meyer's column "fascinating, with a distinctive voice." IRMA is composed of regional and state magazines in the United States and Canada, including long-established publications such as Arizona Highways and Down East
Tina Tessina's newest book, Money, Sex and Kids: Stop Fighting about the Three Things That Can Ruin Your Marriage (Adams Media, 2008), comes out this month. She has review copies available
Barbara DeMarco-Barrett's inspirational writing book, Pen on Fire: A Busy Woman's Guide to Igniting the Writer Within (Harcourt, 2004) has gone into its 6th printing
Dorianne Perrucci served as managing editor of Wealthbuilding 101, the latest book in the Trump University series for John Wiley & Sons, published in September, and also reported "New Challenges on the Horizon," a 3,000-word article on retirement income planning for the September/October issue of Consumers Digest
"The Passport to Texas," radio show produced by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, ran a series of interviews in November with Melissa Gaskill, author of Best Hikes with Dogs: Texas Hill Country and Gulf Coast. Gaskill also spoke to several chapters of the Texas Outdoor Woman Network about hiking with dogs. She is also the co-author of Lacrosse: A Guide for Parents and Players.
