Sherry Suib Cohen's 21st book, It Ain't All About The Cookin', co-authored with Paula Deen, is in bookstores April 1. It's the memoir of the queen of southern cooking, Paula Deen, who has two television shows, a magazine and two Savannah restaurants for which you'll need major clout to get a reservation. With a 325,000 first printing, the book was the cover of the March Ladies Home Journal
Kristin Ohlson is the co-author of Kabul Beauty School: An American Woman Goes Behind the Veil (Random House, April 10), about an American hairdresser in Afghanistan and the lives of her students. A Publishers Weekly starred review calls the book "witty and insightful."
Marian Calabro, president and senior writer at CorporateHistory.net, has been named to USA Today's Entrepreneur Panel
Ruth Winter's 36th book, Feed Your Family Right!: How to Make Smart Food and Fitness Choices for a Healthy Lifestyle, has just been published by Wiley. Her co-author, Elisa Zied, M.S., R.D, is a registered dietitian, a national spokesperson for the American Dietetic Association, and the coauthor with Winter of So What Can I Eat?! Harvey Rachlin's newest book, Scandals, Vandals, and Da Vincis: A Gallery of Remarkable Art Tales, is an April publication of Penguin Books. UK rights have been sold to Robson Books, which will publish the title in May
Michele C. Hollow's kids' crafts books were recently published by Enslow Publishing. Titles are Nifty, Thrifty Math Crafts and Nifty Thrifty Sports Crafts. These books are geared for 3rd graders ... Anne Hart published her 75th book with ASJA Press. Irene S. Levine, Ph.D. was awarded the 2006 Samter Journalism Award in the consumer print category for When Foods Turn Fatal, which appeared in Reader's Digest last June. The annual award is conferred by the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology (AAAI) in recognition of the best health/medical reporting
Suzanne Loebl's The Mothers' Group: Of Love Loss and AIDS, was published by iUniverse. According to a Kirkus Discovery Review, the book is "A testament to the restorative power of empathy and the unique gift of understanding that women can bring to each other."

Hal Hellman's four Feuds books brought him an appearance on the January 21 edition of CBS News Sunday Morning. Martha Teichner was doing a segment on the Trump/O'Donnell feud; Hal contrasted their feud with some of the great feuds he covered in his books (Great Feuds in: Science, Medicine, Technology, and Mathematics)

Following a three-round selection competition, Candy Arrington received a Contributing Writer contract with Focus on the Family for the Focus on Your Child publications. She will be writing six to nine articles per month for Focus on Your Child
On January 5, Erik Sherman represented ASJA's Contracts Committee at CUNY's graduate journalism school on a business and contracts panel at a freelance writing seminar. For three hours the group discussed contracts and negotiation for magazine and book publishers as well as broadcast ... John Hanc's seventh book, and his first work on a historical topic, will be published in May by Globe Pequot Press.
